Become a volunteer

Your time and talent makes a real difference in people’s lives, helping others without desire for personal gain.

Volunteers carry out 90 percent of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. As BERCS, we pride ourselves in always being the first in (hence our name Baphalali)and last out in any emergency due to our wide network of volunteers who live and serve their own communities. They help victims of disaster, provide care and comfort to ill and injured, teach others lifesaving skills such as First Aid , help in building community resilience and much more.

“Volunteers are our strength. They are what defines us. And they help make the world a safer and more peaceful place every single day.”

The need for volunteers has never been greater as larger and more intense disasters happen across the country due to our changing climate.

We are an organization that value serving others, and putting others first (first responders). Baphalali Eswatini Red Cross is constantly looking for individuals who share the same values and beliefs. One of the most important attributes of a volunteer is being selfless and having no desire to gain anything from your actions.

As a volunteer, individuals are expected to support the humanitarian work of the organization and contribute towards improving the lives of those in need. By sacrificing their time, skills, and resources, volunteers actively demonstrate a dedication to serving others and making a positive impact on their community. A Volunteer is not just a title, it is an opportunity to give back, inspire change, and make a difference in the world.
